Our Man about Town and Honorary "Mr. Healdsburg"

Jim Costa is the Toad Hollow Tasting Room Manager. He absolutely LOVES his job! He has always tried to embody the spirit, whimsy and humor that was Dr. Toad. He has always disliked the tasting experiences that bore you to death with all the technical jargon and wants to engage the customer and find out about them, make them feel special and appreciated. He loves pouring them our great wines at affordable prices.  Much to their surprise, you can get good wine and not break the bank.  His first angel, Judy, was taken away with breast cancer after 30 years of wedded bliss. Jim says, "My entire Toad Hollow Family was the only way I could have gotten through my loss." In his off time, Jim is busy planning his marriage to his second angel, Wendy. And to add more joy to his life Jim will become a Grandpa for the fifth time in Summer 2011! What a wonderful life he lives!

Bill "the Bowler" Zuur

Bill Zuur was one of the first employees of the Tasting Room when it opened in September2003. His Tasting Room career started after his wife Nancy had a brief discussion with her friend Julie Maas, the assistant CFO at Toad Hollow. The conversation went something like “Do you guys have anything that my husband can do?  I need him to get out of the house” the rest, as they say, is HISTORY. When not working at Toad Hollow, Bill enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is a self employed licensed Private Fiduciary and also enjoys golf, handyman work, travel and good books.

"Little Miss Bubbles"

Tasha is the newest addition to our Toad Hollow Family. Tasha came to Toad Hollow on a whim - her mother found an open position for the Tasting Room and told Tasha she had to apply for it. Whether it was a whim or orders from her mother, we are really happy Tasha followed that lead. She brings a fresh energy and enthusiasm to our Tasting Room. She absolutely loves it here and loves her Risqué and Amplexus.  In fact, Tasha loves our sparkling wine so much, one of our recent tasting room guests gave her the nickname “Bubbles”! Since she has been at Toad Hollow, Jim has encouraged Tasha to follow her passion for wine and she is currently studying wine at Sonoma State University.
